What Exactly Is Detailing?

Professional detailing is a thorough process of cleaning, restoring and protecting a vehicle’s interior and exterior — far beyond a standard wash and vacuum.

Exterior Detailing

Deep Clean & Decontamination: Removing dirt, tar, brake dust, grime and other contaminants from the surface.
Paint & Surface Correction: Polishing to reduce light scratches, swirls, oxidation and restore the finish.
Protection: Applying wax, sealant or ceramic coating for lasting protection and shine.
Wheels, Tyres & Trim: Deep cleaning and restoring wheels, tyres, plastics, rubber and other exterior surfaces.

Interior Detailing

Deep Cleaning: Thorough vacuuming and deep cleaning of carpets, upholstery and hard-to-reach areas.
Surface Care: Cleaning and conditioning dashboards, seats, controls, vents and other interior surfaces.
Finishing Touches: Cleaning interior glass and leaving the interior fresh, clean and revitalised.

What Exactly Can You Win?

The Prize Value

The winner will receive a professional detailing experience for his/her motor vehicle (a car or bakkie) valued at up to R5,000. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.

Start and Closing Date

Entries for this competition will open at 12:00 on 21 October 2026 and close at 12:00 on 21 December 2026.

Entries are Free!

There are no prerequisites to purchase anything in order to enter for this competition.

Who is Eligible?

You must be a South African citizen with a ID document, or have a valid passport if you are otherwise resident in South Africa.
You must have a valid driver's license for the vehicle that you are entering.
The vehicle that you enter for the competition, must have valid paperwork.
If you are the winner and want to have a mobile detailing service, it can only be done in one of these metro areas: City of Tshwane, City of Johannesburg or City of Ekurhuleni.
If you are able to bring your vehicle to our workshop (in Bronkhorstpruit, Gauteng) for the detailing experience, you may reside in any area.

How the Winner will be Selected

Every valid entry will be considered by three judges. They will select the vehicle offering the strongest detailing transformation opportunity, considering: its current condition and appearance; the likely visibility and significance of the before-and-after improvement; its suitability for JSD’s detailing services; and whether the photographs and description provide enough information to assess it. If entries are materially equal, the judges will select the vehicle expected to show the clearest overall before-and-after transformation.

What the Prize Includes

The winning vehicle will receive JSD vehicle detailing services to a maximum retail value of R5,000.00. This may include deep exterior cleaning and decontamination, paint or surface correction where suitable, protection products, wheel/tyre/trim treatment, glass cleaning, and interior cleaning and conditioning. This can be performed at JSD's workshop in Bronkhorstspruit, or at the winner's premises — subject to the Terms and Conditions.
